A monument made of white marble, also known as the Taj Mahal of Rajasthan. This beautiful monument is located towards the right side of the road leading to Mehrangarh Fort in the city of Jodhpur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is a few feet below Mehrangarh Fort but offers a picturesque view of the city of Jodhpur and Mehrangarh Fort. This monument is surrounded by a rampart because it is built on a hill.

Jaswant Thada was built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh Ji II of Jodhpur (1873-1895) by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh Ji (1895-1911), completed in 1906 A.D. Inside the rampart on the hill, there is Jaswant Thada, a beautiful garden, and in the middle of that garden, there is a fountain. On the right side of Jaswant Thada, there are four square marble cenotaphs, and on the left side, there is a pond.

Temple Inside Hall

Inside this Splendid Memorial there is a large Hall adorned with portraits of the rulers of marwar who played a significant role in the preservation of art and architecture. A temple has been built in the middle of the hall where daily worship is conducted in memory of the ancestors. The worship of ancestors is common to the Rajput clans.
